Privacy Policy
TalentsTrust (“we”, “us”) is a verified-hiring platform that connects candidates and employers. Because our product handles career and assessment data, we treat privacy as a core feature. This policy explains what we collect, why, who can see it, and the controls you have.
1. Data we collect
- Account data — your name, email address and profile photo from Google when you sign in with Google OAuth. We never see or store your Google password.
- Profile data — information you enter during onboarding and in Settings: phone, city, industry, target role, languages, and (for employers) company details.
- Career data — the resume you build, skills, the skill-task text you submit, and your structured interview answers.
- Assessment data — your answers and results for the psychometric and cognitive assessments you choose to take (EQ, abstract reasoning, MBTI, DISC) and apply-time situational-judgement scores.
- Technical data — active login sessions, and short-lived rate-limit counters (IP-derived keys for abuse protection).
We deliberately do not collect protected-characteristic data (such as ethnicity, religion or health data) during screening.
2. How we use your data
- To operate the platform: matching, verified scores, applications and interview scheduling.
- To show employers the signals you have chosen to build (see section 3 for exactly who sees what).
- To protect the service: authentication, session management, rate limiting and abuse prevention.
- To contact you about early access if you submitted the sign-up form.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
3. Who can see your data
- Verified employers only. Employer accounts must be verified by our team before they can browse candidate profiles.
- Contact details stay masked. Your email and phone are masked for employers until an employer approves your profile — and you are notified when that happens.
- Stealth mode. You can hide your name, photo and current company from all employer discovery; your identity is revealed to an employer only when you apply to one of their roles.
- The public homepage shows featured candidates as role + scores only — never name, photo or contact details.
4. Data processors
We host on Vercel, store data in a managed PostgreSQL database, and relay early-access sign-up forms to an n8n automation workspace. These providers process data on our behalf under their own security and data processing terms.
5. Retention and your controls
- Assessment reuse. In Settings you can turn off “Reuse my assessment results”; doing so permanently deletes your stored assessment results.
- Active sessions. Settings lists every signed-in device and lets you revoke any of them.
- Delete your account.Settings → Delete account irreversibly removes your account and everything attached to it (profile, resume, assessments, applications, notes) immediately.
- Otherwise we keep your data for as long as your account exists.
6. Security
Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest by our database provider. Access to candidate data is role-gated in the application (candidate / verified employer / staff), contact details are masked server-side, and admin actions are limited to designated staff roles.
7. Contact
For any privacy question or request, contact us at privacy@talentstrust.com. If you are in a jurisdiction with data-protection rights (such as the GDPR), you may exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure and portability through that address.
8. Changes
We will update this page when our practices change and revise the “Last updated” date above. Material changes will be announced in the product.
